Leaving Silverland...

for those of you following this....

I had to leave Silverland earlier than planned. Basically I worked hard and got a lot done, I should have at least 30-40 pictures to post. I felt like this was enough and felt the need for some Spring Break, work on the house and yard, multi-tasking, taking care of myself, working vacation (grammar folks, does that qualify as a "run on sentence"?). I think a bit of homesickness may have been part of the equation.

THIS BLOG IS NOT FINISHED.

I will be working on it a lot tonight and refine it over the weekend.

This was my workspace while at the Silverland residency. It is not actually the Silverland workspace but rather the St Mary's Art Center studio room. I am jealous, I would love to have a photo studio this size. mine is 1/4 the size. it was great to be able to spread out and work in a non-crampped situation. artist's residencies are great things.

"after" is very rough and not final.  this is just to demonstrate the color/contrast manipulation.  geek note: am only using Lightroom 2.3.  I would normally remove any color cast using Photoshop but my camera is new and not compatible with the version I have...
